Kanelsnegle (Danish Cinnamon Buns)
Delicious Danish pastries filled with cinnamon sugar and topped with icing.

In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.

In a large bowl, mix sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, salt, egg, and flour. Add the yeast mixture and knead until a smooth dough forms.

Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over the dough and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.

Roll up the dough tightly and cut into 12 slices. Place the slices in a greased baking dish and let rise for 15 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the buns for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Mix powdered sugar and milk to make the icing. Drizzle over the warm buns before serving.
